This is Darrius from therabbitpad.com, and in this video, Im going to show you how to remove yourself from a document that has been shared with you. Lets say that someone had shared a document with you and you dont need that document anymore, and you wish not to have that document in your account. You can easily remove yourself from that file by following these steps. Go to the shared with me folder or wherever you saved that document in your drive. And right-click that file and go to the share options. And then you will need to click Advanced. Once you click advanced, you will see all of the people that on this document. So basically, I shared this file with another account with myself for the purposes of this example, and all you need to do is click the X on the right side of this area and you have removed yourself from that document. Be sure to save those changes and its going to warn you that if you change the sharing settings you be able to edit this file. And now the

Stop sharing a file Find the file or folder in Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides. Open or select the file or folder. Click Share or Share . Find the person you want to stop sharing with. To the right of their name, click the Down arrow. Remove. To save changes, click Save.
To undo email sharing: Open the File menu and click Share. Click the drop-down menu next to the name of the person you want to remove. Select Remove and then Save.
Click on View and then click on Show Print Layout to uncheck it. You'll now be able to see each page break in your document as a gray line. Click underneath one of the page breaks and press Backspace. Alternatively, click above one of the page breaks and press Delete (or Fn+Backspace on Mac).
One is simply using the delete option, and the other one is deleting files permanently. When you can't delete a file normally, you can delete undeletable files Windows 10 by selecting the target file or folder and then press Shift + Delete keys on the keyboard for a try.
Select the file you want to share. Click Share or Share . Under “General access” click the Down arrow . Choose Anyone with the link. To decide what role people will have, select Viewer, Commenter, or Editor. Click Copy link. Click Done. Paste the link in an email or any place you want to share it.
Important: Find the file or folder in Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides. Open or select the file or folder. Click Share or Share . Find the person you want to stop sharing with. To the right of their name, click the Down arrow. Remove. To save changes, click Save.
You can permanently delete a file in the Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides apps, or empty your entire trash in the Google Drive app. After deleting a file, anyone you've shared the file with will lose access to it. If you want others to be able to still view the file, you can give ownership to someone else.
Files in trash will be automatically deleted after 30 days. You can restore files from your trash before the 30-day time window. You can also permanently delete them to empty your trash. If you delete, restore, or permanently delete multiple files or folders at once, it might take time for you to notice the changes.
In Drive: Click the name of the file, in the top right, click Remove....If you're not the owner, others can see the file even if you empty your trash. On your computer, open Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides. Next to the file you want to delete, click More. Remove. The file will be moved to the trash section of Drive.
There could be a few reasons why you are unable to delete certain files on Google Drive. It is possible that the file is shared with someone else and they have set the permissions so that you cannot delete it.
