In this tutorial, Justin Conway, a Microsoft Excel expert, explains how to remove a drop-down box in Excel while retaining the current value in a cell. He demonstrates this by selecting a cell containing a drop-down list and accessing the Data Validation settings. By changing the allowed value from "List" to "Any Value," the drop-down is removed, but the existing value (e.g., "apples") remains. This process can be repeated for other cells containing drop-downs. Additionally, he mentions that similar methods can be applied to clear all data, which can be done by right-clicking or using specific functions on a MacBook.
