To disassemble the HSK clamping unit, first loosen the lock screw. The clamping cone can then be unscrewed. While one gripper segment is pressed outwards, the other gripper segments can easily be removed. Next, remove the O-ring from the drawbar. Use our Pick Tool for easy removal. Pull out the spacer with a pair of needle-nosed pliers. Check the sealing to the spring chamber. In our case there is a sealing bushing, so we do not need the O-ring that comes with the set. Now you can start with the actual assembly of the HSK clamping unit. Reinsert the greased spacer. Mount the O-Ring onto the drawbar. All components need to be greased on the functional surfaces with the supplied grease. Other permissible lubricants can be found in our operating manual. Please note: mixing should be avoided.
