A patent reissue application can be filed when a correction is needed by the Patent Office to correct a significant error in an issued patent. The reissue application allows the patentee to re-prosecute the patent and cure any defects found in the issued patent claims or specification.

§ 1125(a), the plaintiff must demonstrate that (1) it has a valid and legally protectable mark; (2) it owns the mark; and (3) the defendant's use of the mark to identify goods or services causes a likelihood of confusion.
If a trademark misdescribes a quality, purpose, function, feature, characteristic, ingredient, or use of the goods or services, and the misrepresentation would be credible or plausible to consumer, the mark would be refused as deceptively misdescriptive.
You can modify the trademark you're using on your products and services, but you cannot modify an existing registration, so unless you register your newly modified trademark, it will not have the same scope of protection as a prior, unmodified, registered trademark.
