Also, if requested, copies of the records must be provided to current and former employees, or their representatives.
All employers are required to notify OSHA when an employee is killed on the job or suffers a work-related hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye. A fatality must be reported within 8 hours. An in-patient hospitalization, amputation, or eye loss must be reported within 24 hours.
You must count the number of calendar days the employee was unable to work as a result of the injury or illness, regardless of whether or not the employee was scheduled to work on those day(s).
A case is OSHA recordable if it involves medical treatment beyond First Aid or diagnosis of a docHub injury or illness.
You must enter each recordable injury or illness on the OSHA 300 Log and 301 Incident Report within seven (7) calendar days of receiving information that a recordable injury or illness has occurred. What is an equivalent form?

For any inpatient hospitalization, amputation, or eye loss employers must report the incident within 24 hours of learning about it.
