Salesforce CPQ creates a contract and subscription record as if you had contracted an order with a single order product. When a Contract is generated by Salesforce CPQ, the Quote (or Orders) Start Date and Subscription Term or End Date are used to calculate and populate the Contracts Start Date and End Date.
