Hello Everyone. Welcome to Excel 10 Tutorial. In this quick tutorial Im going to show you how you can add strikethrough and remove a strikethrough in Microsoft Excel. This is easy function for Microsoft Excel but most of the time you dont know where to find it. So lets get started and Im going to add a strikethrough to all these seven cells and Im going to select them now Im going to click on this arrow button okay now if you click there this format cells dialog box will pop up and take a look at here effects and here you will find a strikethrough if you check mark this option and click OK and Done. You can see now all these seven cells has been strikethrough. So if you undo that option just click on this arrow again now uncheck this strikethrough option and click OK. Click Use custom cell values. Next to Checked, enter a value. Optional: Next to Unchecked, enter a value. Click Save.
One solution I came up with to solve this issue is by inserting a table of two columns. The left column is only for checkboxes and the right column for the listed items. This way you can check the boxes to the left without striking through the text to the right.
Heres how you can do that: Click on a bullet next to your bulleted list item. This selects all the bullets in your list. Right-click on the bullet to open a popup menu. Finally, click on the checkbox button in the popup menu. And your list turns into a checklist.
The first step is to open Google Docs, and Click the arrow next to Checklist. To get a Checklist without strikethrough text, Click the right side icon for Do not strikethrough text when. With the no strikethrough icon selected, Type to enter your checklist items, and Press Enter.
Using your cursor, highlight the entire document, or the parts of the document you want to see without the line. Click on Format, and then on Font. In the Font tab, uncheck the box next to Strikethrough. This will remove the line covering the text.
Remove strikethrough added manually If you applied strikethrough via a shortcut or cell format, then press Ctrl + 5 again, and the formatting will be gone.
To either add or remove strike through to text in a Google Doc you need to use the menu and got to FORMATTEXTSTRIKETHROUGH as can be seen in the picture below. To remove the strikethrough, select all the text by dragging your cursor through it and then go to Format Text Strikethrough.
