You do not require a print out of the ticket as long as you have a ticket in any handheld device(Phone, iPad etc) in the format which mentions your name/Airline/Source and Destination along with timings. However please note that an SMS from the airline mentioning your PNR would not suffice.

If youve received your boarding pass or e-ticket barcode in an email, you can simply use this at the airport. No additional apps needed. Apple and Google both offer their own respective apps that collect e-tickets and boarding passes from a variety of companies all in one place.
You can cancel your e-ticket only before the chart preparation is done. Once the chart is prepared, you cannot cancel directly online. You need to file a TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt) through the IRCTC website. The cancellation charges and refund amount will depend on the time of cancellation and the type of ticket.
Once you have received confirmation from IRCTC, you can make the necessary changes to your ticket. This can be done through the IRCTC website or by visiting the customer care center in person. You will need to provide your ticket number and the confirmation email to make the changes.
Boarding Pass Passengers are requested to carry a print out of their boarding card once they have completed their mobile Check-in. The boarding pass can also be obtained from one of the IndiGo counters at the airport. However, it is recommended to take the print in advance to skip the queue.
Can I travel without a hard copy of an e-ticket? Yes! The only thing youll need to check into your flight online is the confirmation code you got when you booked it, which doesnt usually appear on your e-ticket.
There is no need to print tickets thanks to e-tickets. In other words, e-ticket or online flight tickets have replaced the print ones. Passengers and airline company makes a contract through e-tickets. Passengers ticket details are secured in the companys database through encryptions such as PNR.
