[Music] hello this is greg from sharepoint maven and in todays video i would like to show you how you can hide fields in a sharepoint list or sharepoint document library based on conditional formula let me explain to you what im talking about so here i have a document library with a few documents and i have two metadata columns a status column and an expiration date the status column has active inactive and then expiration date thats just a date field now uh at the moment when users fill in the metadata uh when they uh choose the uh status for example right whether the effective or inactive uh expression date always appears as a piece of metadata what i would like to do is the following i do not want this expiration date column to appear unless the status is active so if i mark the document as active then expiration date column will uh pop up you know prompted me to fill out the date uh expiration date if i mark it inactive expiration date should disappear obviously it does appear a

To add a condition to a transition: Select Issues. Select Workflows. Select More ( ) and then Edit next to the relevant workflow. In diagram mode, select the transition arrow. In diagram mode, click Conditions in the properties panel to show the triggers configured for the transition.
To ensure that specific Jira fields have a value during Jira issue transition, use JMWEs Fields Required workflow validator. Then, if any of your required fields are empty, an error message will be displayed to prompt the user to input a value.
Click the Custom fields settings tab to refresh the page. Click the name of your new custom field section to open the Custom field section page for the new section. Click the New custom field near the upper-right corner. Workfront requires users to complete the field.
On the Validators tab, click on the Add Validator button, and from the list of Validators that shows up, select the Fields Required validator, and then choose the field of your choice as the required field.

Once youve deleted a custom field, any associated data will no longer appear in your reports and the field will be removed as a filter option.
Hi @Ravi Mistry - its not possible to have a mandatory field on issue creation in next-gen projects; however it is possible to create a workflow rule to check a field has been populated on transition to another status Check an issues field -
