setfacl sets (replaces), modifies, or removes the access control list (ACL). It also updates and deletes ACL entries for each file and directory that was specified by path.
How to Modify ACL Entries on a File Modify ACL entries on a file by using the setfacl command. $ setfacl -m acl-entry-list filename -m. Modifies the existing ACL entry. acl-entry-list. Verify that the ACL entries were modified on the file by using the getfacl command. $ getfacl filename.
So in order to remove ACLs just run setfacl -b -R on the directory, and chmod g=rwx afterwards. (Fixing group permissions might be needed, because currently your changes actually went to changing the ACL mask instead.)
How to Delete ACL Entries From a File Delete ACL entries from a file by using the setfacl command. $ setfacl -d acl-entry-list filename -d. Deletes the specified ACL entries. acl-entry-list. To verify that the ACL entries were deleted from the file, by using the getfacl command. $ getfacl filename.
To add, remove, or edit ACL entries, use the fs setacl command. By default, the command manipulates entries on the normal permissions section of the ACL. To manipulate entries on the negative permissions section, include the -negative flag as instructed in To Add, Remove, or Edit Negative ACL Permissions.
Right-click a file, folder, item, or custom object in the vault and select Details. In the Details dialog, select the Security tab. The Access Control List displays the members with access to the selected file, folder, or custom object. Select a member for whom to configure the permissions.
Remove ACL : If you want to remove the set ACL permissions, use setfacl command with -b option. If you compare output of getfacl command before and after using setfacl command with -b option, you can observe that there is no particular entry for user mandeep in later output.
To remove a user or group from the ACL, select it and click Delete. WorkSpace removes the selected user or group from the ACL. Click OK to save your changes and dismiss the Edit Permissions dialog.
