Figures without caption \usepackage{caption} \DeclareCaptionLabelFormat{graphs}{\textbf{Graphs~#2}} \begin{figure} \end{figure} \begin{figure} \end{figure}
There are three commands here that work the same in the example: \\ (two backslashes) \newline. \hfill \break.
Include the caption package and use its \caption* command to get only the actual caption of a figure.
Introduction. Simple text formatting helps to highlight important concepts within a document and make it more readable. ... Italicized text. To make a text italic is straightforward, use the \emph or \textit command: ... Bold text. To make a text bold use \textbf command: ... Underlined text. ... Emphasising text.
The short answer: use the “float” package and then the [H] option for your figure. The longer answer: The default behaviour of figures is to float, so that LaTeX can find the best way to arrange them in your document and make it look better.
Centering. We center text or images using \begin{center} and \end{center}. Just put \begin{center} when you want to start centering, and \end{center} when you want to stop centering.
It is always good practice to add a caption to any figure or table. Fortunately, this is very simple in LaTeX. All you need to do is use the \caption{''text''} command within the float environment.
The environment \begin{center}... \end{center} is used to centre the text (note the American spelling). Each line is centred individually. This tends to make the paragraph look ugly and hard to read, but it is useful for centring figures, tables etc.
It's really easy, just add the \caption{Some caption} and inside the braces write the text to be shown. The placement of the caption depends on where you place the command; if it's above the \includegraphics then the caption will be on top of it, if it's below then the caption will also be set below the figure.
If you do \includegraphics[width=\linewidth]{1} the image will become as wide as the text block. If it looks off-center then, it is likely because of white borders in the image file itself.
