To remove a caption label, follow these steps: Display the References tab of the ribbon. Click the Insert Caption tool, in the Captions group. Using the Label drop-down list, choose the caption label you want to delete. Click on Delete Label. Click on Cancel to dismiss the Caption dialog box.
Add or remove a border for a shape or text box Point to Weight, and then choose the line weight that you want. Point to Dashes, and then click the line style that you want. Click No Outline.
To delete a caption select it with your mouse and press Delete. If you have additional captions in your document when youre finished deleting the ones you want to remove, you should update them. Press CTRL+A to select all of the text in your document and then press F9 to update all.
Remove the border Select the text box or shape border that you want to remove. Under Drawing Tools, on the Format tab, in the Shape Styles group, click Shape Outline, and then click No Outline.
Select the border of the text box that you want to delete, and then press Delete. Note: Make sure the pointer is on the border of the text box and not inside it. If the pointer is inside the box, pressing Delete will delete the text inside the text box, not the box.
Add a caption For shapes, images, movies, text boxes, and equations: Tap the Style tab, tap Title and Caption, then turn on Caption. For drawings: Tap the Drawing tab, tap Title and Caption, then turn on Caption. For tables: Tap the Table tab, then turn on Caption. For charts: Tap the Chart tab, then turn on Caption.
