Found the answer when you first create the Pivot table and it is asking you where to put it, notice a box at the bottom called Add this data to data model. If it is checked then seem Group by and Calculated fields go away. I unchecked it and all started working again. This works and its easy.
In the Calculations group, click Fields, Items and Sets (Click Formulas in Excel 2010). Click Calculated Item. From the drop-down list of formulas, select the formula you want to delete. Click the Delete button.

To remove a field, in the Field List, do one of the following: In the Choose fields box, clear the check box of the field you want to remove. In a layout area, click the field that you want to remove, and then click Remove Field.
