I recently did a video on six different kinds but now were going to have a look at how they penetrate and how you remove them so my lovely assistant here today is a lump of pork leg and I have three different arrows so we have a regular bodkin arrow, armor-piercing bodkin plate cutter call it what you will, short bodkin, so we have that. Standard arrow pullers do several things at once. They give you a better grip on the arrow shaft, and they increase the effective diameter of the arrow shaft you are pulling for an easier hold and they protect the arrow from being bent by the grip of your fist by adding extra stiffening.
When you get shot, do you remove the arrow? No, you can cause more damage. The shaft make actually block a lot of bleeding. If you can, you would cut the shaft as near the wound as possible so that it does not snag against something.
Use a thick, soft, clean pad to apply firm pressure directly on the bleeding wound. Covering the wound and applying pressure is most important, even if you have to use your hand. Try to avoid contaminating the wound with dirt, grass, or other foreign matter. Once applied, try not to remove the pressure bandage.
That arrow appears because the style for that text is set to either Heading 1, Heading 2, etc. Clicking the arrow allows you to expand or collapse texts under that heading. To remove it, you must change the style to Normal or another style that is not for headings. THIS is useful answer.
