A tool that used to identify one bill of material in a BOM group. One product can be represented by several (alternative) BOMs if, for example, different production processes are used for different lot size ranges. These alternative BOMs are grouped in a multiple BOM.
Follow these steps to change a material BOM: On the SAP Easy Access Menu, choose Logistics Production Master Data Bills of Material Bill of Material Material BOM Change. In the Material field, enter the material for which you want to create the BOM. Enter a Plant. Enter a BOM Usage.
To change one alternative in a multiple BOM: Choose Material BOM Change. You see the Change material BOM initial screen. Enter the data that identifies the alternative you want on the initial screen. Enter a valid-from date or a change number. If you do not enter an alternative, first you see the alternative overview.
Delete all inactive alternatives You can remove all inactive alternatives and leave only the active alternative. Click the Track Alternatives button and choose Delete Inactive from the pop-up menu.
When Enable Complete Features is selected in Logic Pro Settings Advanced, you can create alternative versions of a project, each with a unique name and different settings. Project alternatives let you save snapshots of a project in different states, including different cuts or mixes.
