today were talking about how to remove an account if its only reported on one bureau you see not everything is reported on all three bureaus and not everything is reported on just two sometimes its only reported on one right and in other cases youll dispute something get it removed from multiple bureaus and then its only remaining on one so how do you use factual base disputes to remove an account that is only on one bureau well this is where my 500 videos going back to the summer of 2016 come in handy because i show you how an account should and should not report and if you go back um maybe a couple of weeks or so i did a video on what an account should be reported like right so you need to know what is a violation whats supposed to happen after a dispute what the date last reported signifies so on and so forth right so when you have nothing to compare the actual account too because its only reported on one bureau you need to be looking at things like the date last reported whi

There is no way to hide accounts and not to display on the Balance Sheets report if the bank has account balance in QuickBooks. Even if the accounts are in-active type and account has balance it will show up; it just cannot enter new transactions. Best solution. Clear these accounts with balances to zero.
To delete an account from the chart of accounts, there must be no transactions posted to the general ledger that reference the account ID. If an account has a nonzero balance, you must delete or remove transactions associated with it. These can include beginning-balance entries.
Go to the Lists menu, then select Chart of Accounts. Select the account you want to delete. Go to the Edit menu, then select Delete Account. Select OK.
To delete an account, heres what youll need to do: Click on the gear icon at the top. Under Your Company section, select Chart of Accounts (COA). Look for the account that you want to delete. In the Action column, choose the drop-down then click Delete. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete.
To delete an account from the chart of accounts, there must be no transactions posted to the general ledger that reference the account ID. If an account has a nonzero balance, you must delete or remove transactions associated with it. These can include beginning-balance entries.
Delete or move the transactions Look for the account you just made active. In the Action column, select Run report. The Accounts QuickReport opens. Customize the Account QuickReport to All Dates, then select Run report. Select each transaction, then either delete it or move it to a different account.
Your chart of accounts refreshes and an Inactive column and a Delete column are added. For the accounts you want to delete or make inactive, check the boxes in the appropriate columns. Accounts that have the word No in the Delete column cannot be deleted from your chart of accounts.
Click on the gear icon at the top. Under Your Company section, select Chart of Accounts (COA). Look for the account that you want to delete. In the Action column, choose the drop-down then click Delete.
