hello everyone welcome back in the last video we saw how to create an ami out of an existing ec2 instance and then how do we spin up new ec2 instances using that ami so in this video Im going to show you how to remove the mi that you have created so this would typically be when you are creating a new ami and you want to delete all array am i sad to have in your account right so first and foremost if you have seen my last video lets just go ahead and terminate our only z2 instance that we had used to create the image out of so click on action go to instance state and terminate so once this gets terminated its corresponding volumes should also get deleted so if you go to volumes you can see there are four volumes and this two volumes should get heated once that easy to is terminated so now lets go to our snapshot and we saw in the last video that EWS creates snapshots belonging to each volume and it creates an ami out of this so lets go ahead and try to delete this snapshot so go to

The correct AMI ID depends on the instance type and region in which you're launching your stack. And IDs can change regularly, such as when an AMI is updated with software updates. Normally, you might map AMI IDs to specific instance types and regions.
To delete all snapshots from vCenter Server: Choose Inventory > Virtual Machine > Snapshot > Snapshot Manager. Click Delete All to permanently remove all snapshots. ... Click Yes in the confirmation dialog. Click Close to exit the Snapshot Manager.
Share an AMI (console) In the navigation pane, choose AMIs. Select your AMI in the list, and then choose Actions, Edit AMI permissions. Choose Private. Under Shared accounts, choose Add account ID. For AWS account ID, enter the AWS account ID with which you want to share the AMI, and then choose Share AMI.
Because you can't transfer a Reserved Instance from one instance to another with differing attributes. For example a Reserved Instance will be applied to any instance that matches all of the attributes. If you have a single RI that matches two different instances, it will be applied to one of them.
In the navigation pane, choose Snapshots. Select a snapshot to delete (look for the AMI ID from the prior step in the Description column). Choose Actions, Delete snapshot. When prompted for confirmation, choose Delete.
It's not possible to move an existing instance to another subnet, Availability Zone, or VPC. Instead, you can manually migrate the instance by creating a new Amazon Machine Image (AMI) from the source instance. Then, launch a new instance using the new AMI in the desired subnet, Availability Zone, or VPC.
You can launch multiple instances from a single AMI when you require multiple instances with the same configuration. You can use different AMIs to launch instances when you require instances with different configurations.
On the Snapshots search bar, search for the AMI ID you deregistered earlier. The snapshots are filtered, so that only the ones associated with this AMI are displayed. Select the snapshots, click Actions, and choose Delete.
Log in to the AWS console of the account from which you want to move the instance, and navigate to the "Instances" pane. Right-click on the instance to be moved and choose "Create Image (EBS AMI)". Once done, you will receive a status message saying that the request was received and being processed to create an image.
Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the Amazon RDS console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/rds/ . In the navigation pane, choose Snapshots. The Manual snapshots list appears. Choose the DB snapshot that you want to delete. For Actions, choose Delete snapshot. Choose Delete on the confirmation page.
