hi in this video Im gonna show you how to use the value 8 function that evaluate function was around in Excel version for so and its probably not even documented anymore so for example if i type evaluate it doesnt even show up but its a function thats available and its something to where you can use in this particular example so lets say for example you had some text equation so here in a 2 2 a 4 we have some equations that look like their mathematical equations that should be calculated in excel but theyre not because the way the Excel season is as text normally Excel sees numbers as values so let me go ahead and type a number in here and youll notice that once I type in the number its going to line it to the right but in this case excel is evaluating these numbers as text so if i type in another equation 64 may be plus minus may be minus 2 youll notice that now its aligned to the left and Excel is seeing these numbers as text now so if you wanted to see the text equation
