Why does System Data take up so much space on Mac? The easiest answer is that you use your Mac quite a lot and havent cleaned it in a while. Or it may be that some apps, like photo and video editors, generate a lot of cache.

I use iCloud for some stuff that I want synced to my other devices. I use a couple of external drives on my Mac Mini for stuff I dont need long term or want synced to my other devices. I use a 32 TB Synology NAS for really long term storage. I rarely store anything on my Minis internal 256 GB drive.
You can change the contents of the menu by pressing the Option key. Control-click or right-click on the file in Finder. Press the Option (Alt) key. Choose Copy [filename] as Pathname where [filename] is the name of your file. Paste the path wherever you need it.
Move items into folders On your Mac, click the Finder icon in the Dock to open a Finder window. Do any of the following: Put an item in a folder: Drag it to the folder. Put several items in a folder: Select the items, then drag one of the items to the folder. All selected items move to the folder.
