Create a system of desktop folders. Think of a filing cabinet that has, say, five drawers, and make this your five main desktop folders. Within each drawer/folder, you will have subfolders. A few subfolders may even have their own subfolders. Keep it manageable and dont go beyond three levels.
After creating a new folder, you can start adding your files to begin the desktop organization process. Select the document you wish to move and drag it into your new folder. To drag multiple documents at once, select each document and drag the group.
Your Microsoft account settings dont allow you to send your activity history to Microsoft, but your activity history will be stored on your device to help keep track of the things you do.
Please know that Microsoft takes privacy and security very seriously. Your files are only visible to you unless you choose to share them. If you suspect any suspicious activity on your account, changing your password immediately is recommended.
How to organize files and folders on your computer Establish a clear hierarchical folder structure. Start organizing your files by creating a logical, hierarchical folder structure. Use a consistent naming convention. Add tags. Delete and archive unnecessary files. File as you go.
