More complex objects contain more data and make Excel files large. Excessive Formatting: When you add formatting to any cell on your sheet, Excel stores that formatting information in your file. It can include data like font, size, color, border, cell size, etc. The more rows you format, the more data it stores.
Click on the Restore Down button (the middle button in the top right corner of the Excel window) to make the window smaller. Move your mouse cursor to the edge or corner of the Excel window until it changes to a double-headed arrow. Click and drag the edge or corner of the window to resize it.
To do that, in Page Setup, click the window launcher button. Then, click Scaling Adjust to, and then enter the percentage of the normal size that you want to use. Note: To reduce a worksheet to better fit the printed pages, enter a percentage that is smaller than 100%.
Do one of the following: On the View tab, in the Zoom group, click Zoom 100%. On the View tab, in the Zoom group, click Zoom to Selection, which maximizes the view of cells that youve selected. On the View tab, in the Zoom group, click Zoom, and then enter a percentage or choose any other settings that you want.
