hi and welcome students todays tutorial will be on Microsoft Word 2016 and Im gonna show you how to undo and redo commands and actions lets go ahead and get started so Im gonna use this example in Microsoft Word but ctrl Z + ctrl Y which youll learn about will work throughout the Microsoft Office suite and on your Windows 10 PC lets go ahead and get started so first thing I see here is I have a Microsoft Word document now one of the things that my students and people that are beginning to use computers for maybe the first time or maybe theyre using office for the first time is they make mistakes when they are in office documents and this is this happens if youre a beginner all the way through advanced levels so one of the things that they do is they click and drag and maybe they bring the picture into the wrong spot right and so if you put the picture say in the wrong spot what you want to do is you want to undo that command you dont necessarily want to try to click and drag

USING KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS Today, you can undo with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace in Windows or Cmd+Z on a Mac.
The Quick Access Toolbar provides access to frequently used commands, and the option to customize the toolbar with the commands that you use most often. By default, the New, Open, Save, Quick Print, Run, Cut, Copy, Paste, Undo, and Redo buttons appear on the Quick Access Toolbar, as shown in the following image.
To redo an action that youve just undone on Windows, press Ctrl+Y, Ctrl + Shift + Z or F4.
To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z. To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y.
Undo an action You can press Undo (or CTRL+Z) repeatedly if you want to undo multiple steps.
If youre unfamiliar with them, clicking Undo will reverse the last change you made to a text file, a Word document, a photo or most anything else that you can edit. Clicking Redo will reverse the Undo and make the change you undid active once again.
To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z. To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y.
Repeating the Previous Command with the Repeat Command Click on the Customize Quick Access Toolbar button on the top menu toolbar of your Excel worksheet. From the list of options provided on the More Commands tab, click on Repeat and add it to the Quick Access toolbar.
