so how do you actually revoke a in an oauth 2 application so suppose you have like a client this client somehow got an access from an authorization server it might have also received a refresh depends and this client is then using this at the protected resource yeah so as an example this application here diagrams.net is actually storing like the file that you currently see in my google drive so this is basically the third party application and its accessing like the google drive and the question now is how do i invalidate this access or maybe even the refresh i got and the way you can do that is you can send this to a dedicated endpoint which this uh rfc specifies so this is called the revocation endpoint so this can be like an arbitrary ul uh that is specified in the authorization service metadata so its not always post slash revoke it could be anything but of course it should be like speaking and what you do is you send like the itself to the endpoint and you might also se

To refresh the access , select the Refresh access API call within the Authorization folder of the Postman collection. Next, click the Send button to request a new access .
When the access expires, the application can use the refresh to obtain a new access . It can do this behind the scenes, and without the users involvement, so that its a seamless process to the user.
You can revoke a refresh using the Revoke API operation. You can also use the aws cognito-idp revoke- CLI command to revoke s. Finally, you can revoke s using the revocation endpoint. This endpoint is available after you add a domain to your user pool.
Using a Refresh To refresh the access , select the Refresh access API call within the Authorization folder of the Postman collection. Next, click the Send button to request a new access .
If a refresh expires for any reason, then the only action the application can take is to ask the user to log in again, starting a new OAuth flow from scratch, which will issue a new access and refresh to the application.
For the refresh , we will simply generate a UID and store it in an object in memory along with the associated user username. It would be normal to save it in a database with the users information and the creation and expiration date (if we want it to be valid for a limited period of time).
