hi and in todays tutorial im going to show you how to use text boxes in word im also going to show you how to customize them because i think theyre one of the most useful and flexible tools in this piece of software so first of all lets go to insert along to text box click on the drop down and just select draw text box then all you need to do is just click and drag your mouse now all text boxes by default will come with a white background and a black border now it may look like its transparent at the moment obviously because thats on a white background but if i just go ahead quickly and change the background color lets change the page background and there you can see we have a black border and a white background now we can get rid of that background in a minute but ill show you how to do that shortly so lets just quickly insert some text so im just going to click on my text box and you can see ive selected it because it has all the markers around the outside im just going
