So basically, Undo helps you reverse your last action and restore things to how they were before you made the change. Redo, on the other hand, does the opposite. If you change your mind after performing the Undo function, Redo is the command to use. It restores what you just undid and repeats your last action.
By right-clicking on a TextBox, a popup menu containing an Undo entry is presented. This Undo will undo only one action, which may include several edits. An immediate subsequent Undo will undo the Undo - in essence, a Redo. The same behavior can be achieved using Ctrl + Z .
Undo the last action: Choose Edit Undo (from the Edit menu at the top of your screen), or press Command-Z on your keyboard. Redo the last action you undid: Choose Edit Redo, or press Command-Shift-Z.
Three-Finger Swipe to Undo You can also perform an undo action by swiping your iPhones screen. To do it, place three fingers on the screen and swipe quickly to the left. Youll see an Undo message pop up near the top of your screen, and the last action will be undone.
It can be a little awkward, but sliding three fingers from right to left will undo or redo your last action. Now that youve mastered Shake to Undo and swipe to undo, check out some of these other iPhone keyboard shortcuts to speed up your typing even more.
You can also use the Ctrl+Z key combination for undoing or Ctrl+Y for redoing.
To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z. To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y.
Heres how it works: Undo: Swipe from right to left across the keyboard with two fingers. Redo: Swipe from left to right across the keyboard with two fingers. Move cursor: Slide one finger horizontally across the keyboard.
