you can remove extra spaces between words with find and replace leading and trailing spaces will also be trimmed to one but will not be completely removed we have a few names in column a that have some space between and after the text as well as more than one space between the words in column b let us use the len function to count the number of characters select the cells from which you want to remove extra spaces then go to the home tab in editing section press the find and select button choose the replace option from the menu in the find want section add two space characters press the spacebar twice on the keyboard in the replace with section add a single space character click on options button for more advanced find and replace options make sure the within sheet and looking form loss are selected click on the replace all button press the replace all button a few times until it can no longer find any double spaced characters in the data this will leave a single space in between words

Line Spacing To choose line spacing for your paragraph, use the format menuand choose line spacing. You can choose from several pre-set options, or choose custom spacing. To set custom spacing, choose custom spacing from the line spacing menu. Here you can customise spacing between lines and between paragraphs.
Go to Home Cells Format. Under Cell Size, select Column Width. In the Column width box, type the value that you want. Select OK.
If your cell has white space, and you want to increase the line space to fill it evenly, change the vertical spacing to Justify. Right-click in the cell you want, and click Format cells. On the Alignment tab, change Vertical to Justify. Click OK. Your text is now distributed evenly inside the cell.
Set a column to a specific width Go to Home Cells Format. Under Cell Size, select Column Width. In the Column width box, type the value that you want. Select OK.
To format line spacing: Select the text you want to format. Click the Line spacing button, then select the desired line spacing option from the drop-down menu. You can also click Custom spacing to fine-tune the spacing. The line spacing will adjust in the document.
To redo something youve undone, press Ctrl+Y or F4.
