To redo something youve undone, press Ctrl+Y or F4. (If F4 doesnt seem to work, you may need to press the F-Lock key or Fn Key, then F4) on your keyboard, or select Redo on the Quick Access toolbar. (The Redo button only appears after youve undone an action.)
Ctrl Y, on the other hand, is the keyboard shortcut for redo, which allows you to reapply the last action you performed after using Ctrl Z to undo it.
To redo the most recent action that you undid, press CTRL+Y. To redo several actions, do one of the following: Press CTRL+Y repeatedly until the actions are redone.
To reverse your last action, press CTRL+Z. You can reverse more than one action. To reverse your last Undo, press CTRL+Y.
The shortcut for Undo is Control + Z on Windows, Command + Z on a Mac. Each time I use the shortcut, Excel moves back one step. The shortcut for Redo is Control + Y on Windows, Command + Y on the Mac.
The Redo command reverses the most recent change made using Undo. To undo an action, on the Edit menu, click Undo, or press Ctrl + Z. To redo an action, on the Edit menu, click Redo, or press Ctrl +Y.
