Remove personal information from a document On the Word menu, click Preferences. Under Privacy options, select the Remove personal information from this file on save check box. Save the document.
To remove a sensitivity label that has already been applied to an email, select Edit Sensitivity and then select Remove. Naturally if your organization requires labels on all files you wont be able to remove it.
Use the Document Inspector to Remove Hidden Data To open the Document Inspector, click File Info Check for Issues Inspect Document. The Excel Document Inspection window shown below opens up. Click Inspect to identify hidden content, and then click Remove All to remove the item of your choice.
Heres how: Go to File Explorer. Select one or more files in Windows Explorer. Right-click select Properties from the contextual menu. Go to the Details tab click Remove Properties and Personal Information to open the Remove Properties dialog.
Change the Status property of the document to Draft. Select the File tab. In the lower-right corner of the Info pane, click Show All Properties. Insert your cursor in the Status property field and type Draft.
Click File Info Remove Personal Information. Click the Personal Information tab. Select the Remove these items from the document check box.
Use the Document Inspector to Remove Hidden Data To open the Document Inspector, click File Info Check for Issues Inspect Document. The Excel Document Inspection window shown below opens up. Click Inspect to identify hidden content, and then click Remove All to remove the item of your choice.
Remove Document Inspector Warning Goto File in the upper left hand corner. Options Trust Center Trust Center Settings Privacy Options. Un-check the check box that says Remove personal information from file properties on save Click OK to apply the settings.
How to Inspect a Document in Word Click the File tab. Click Check for Issues. Select Inspect Document. Select which hidden data you want to check for, then click Inspect. Click the Remove All button next to a categorys results to remove those elements. Click Close when youre done.
