hello everyone and welcome to this video on the first things to do with the boss rc 600 and these are the first things that i did when i got mine last week um and there are definitely a few things that i think you should do before you do anything else ill also go over how ive currently set things up on multi-track mode as well as single mode and ill explain the difference between the two first thing what im gonna do is well what i think you should do is is just think about how this thing comes out of the box so ive just ive just changed it to memory number 10 just because ive got other things going on on my my first few memories so this is memory number 10 as far as youre concerned if youre just looking at this out of the box everything is as it as it would be for you except ive got memory number 10 and youll probably have memory number one there might be a couple of things hidden in the menu that that ive ive already changed but um ill just talk you through you know what

Update the firmware Go to the BOSS RC-600 system version download page, scroll down, accept the license agreement, then click Download File. Navigate to your Downloads folder and extract the rc600sys1xx folder. Hold the EXIT button down and turn the pedal on. Connect the RC-600 to your computer.
To perform the update, youll need a USB-A to USB-B cable. Go to the BOSS RC-600 system version download page, scroll down, accept the license agreement, then click Download File. Navigate to your Downloads folder and extract the rc600sys1xx folder. Hold the EXIT button down and turn the pedal on.

Hold down RHYTHM [ON/OFF] button and [TAP TEMPO] button and switch on the power. The message RC-300 Updater will appear on the display. Connect the computer to the RC-300s USB port by a USB cable. The message Connected. will appear on the display.
Connect the RC-600 to your computer via USB 2.0. You can back up and restore data, play USB audio, and sync the tempo to your DAW. When connecting to an output, turn on the power to your RC-600 first. When powering down, turn off the power to your RC-600 last.
To turn it on, press MENU, press knob 1 to select SETUP, press it again to choose INPUT, then turn the Mic knob associated with the input the mic is connected to (knob 1 or knob 2). Use instrument (TS) cables when connecting your device to the inputs. Connect the RC-600 to your computer via USB 2.0.
How to save patterns on the RC-600 Press and hold the ENTER and EXIT buttons to pull up the Write/Clear screen. Use knob 1 or knob 2 to enter Write mode, then use knobs 14 to select the memory bank where you wish to save the pattern. Press the ENTER button to confirm.
