Local undo / redo is controlled by the key combinations Ctrl-Z for undo and Ctrl-Y for redo.
To reverse your last Undo, press CTRL+Y. You can reverse more than one action that has been undone. You can use Redo command only after Undo command. To perform a function on all the content in the text editor, you need to select it all.
You can undo/redo an operation in one of the following ways: From the Visual Studios Edit menu. Clicking the undo and redo icons on the toolbar. Pressing CTRL+Z for undo and CTRL+Y for redo.
Undo allows users to correct their mistakes and also to try out different aspects of the application without risk of repercussions. At minimum, an undo/redo mechanism should provide users with the ability to: Unexecute (undo) the last action they just performed. Re-execute (redo) the last undone action.
To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z. To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y.
Click the () button and then select Undo Last Commit to undo the previous commit. The changes are added to the Staged Changes section.
EditUndo (shortcut: C+z ) reverses the most recent editing command. For example, this can be used to restore unintentionally deleted text. More complicated operations, such as a search and replace, can also be undone. If you undo too many changes, EditRedo (shortcut: C+e C+z ) can restore the changes again.
