Excel Redo shortcut To redo an action with a keyboard shortcut, press the Ctrl + Y keys simultaneously on your keyboard. In Excel for Mac, the shortcut for redo is Command + Y. On most keyboards, you can also use the F4 key for redo. If it doesnt work for you, try pressing F-Lock or Fn, and then the F4 key.
In most applications, you can only use Ctrl Y to redo the last action that you undid using Ctrl Z. If you want to redo multiple actions, you will need to use Ctrl Y multiple times.
Undo is a U turn backward, redo is a U turn forward. It indicates that you are returning to a place youve already been, either forwards (redo) or backwards (undo). The refresh button being a near circle indicates that you are doing something and returning right where you started, neither forwards nor backwards.
Undo an action Using the keyboard, press Ctrl+Z. You can press Ctrl+Z repeatedly if you want to undo multiple steps. Tip: If youre not able to undo the changes you wish to revert, you may be able to restore a previous version of the file.

Repair a corrupted workbook Click File Open. Click the location and folder that contains the corrupted workbook. In the Open dialog box, select the corrupted workbook. Click the arrow next to the Open button, and then click Open and Repair. To recover as much of the workbook data as possible, pick Repair.
