The Redo function restores any actions that have been previously undone using an undo command. Some people may refer to this feature as a reverse undo. For example, if you typed a word, and then deleted it using an undo, the Redo function would restore the word that you deleted.
The Redo command reverses the most recent change made using Undo. To undo an action, on the Edit menu, click Undo, or press Ctrl + Z. To redo an action, on the Edit menu, click Redo, or press Ctrl +Y.
to do something again: These new measurements mean that Ill have to redo the calculations.
Redo can only redo an action on the original cell where the Undo happened. In contrast, the Repeat command is more flexible because it can apply a command to a new range.
Redo an action To redo something youve undone, press. + Y, or select Redo in the upper-left corner of the ribbon. (The Redo button only appears after youve undone an action.)
Redo is the opposite of undo: it redoes an action you have undone. For example, if you decide that you do, after all, want to delete an item that you have just brought back with undo, you can redo the action. The Redo button is only available right after youve undone something.
To redo something youve undone, press Ctrl+Y or F4. (If F4 doesnt seem to work, you may need to press the F-Lock key or Fn Key, then F4) on your keyboard, or select Redo on the Quick Access toolbar.
To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z. To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y. The Undo and Redo features let you remove or repeat single or multiple typing actions, but all actions must be undone or redone in the order you did or undid them you cant skip actions.
