hello and welcome to this tutorial on how to transform 3d data using aviso aviso is my preferred 3d visualization and analysis package simply because the user interface is very intuitive and you can do things reasonably quickly compared to other packages but there are open source options available obviously for doing the same thing and you can see my equivalent tutorial on how to transform volumes using a 3d slicer to achieve the same sort of result um but lets press on so ive loaded this tutorial data set into viso as you can see its a turtle data set and well be transforming it onto a new orientation and the reason we might want to do this uh is because when we acquire images using various imaging modalities uh the orientation of the data can be non-optimal and so you might want to re-slice it according to for example the anatomy of the object the turtle has a bilateral symmetry to it and we might want to section it along the sagittal um and the coronal and the axial planes for
