In the Business menu, select Expense claims. Select the Awaiting Payment tab. Click the claim you want to void. Click Void Expense Claim, then click Yes.
To edit expense claims in classic expenses: In the Business menu, select Expense claims. Click Go to classic expense claims. Select the relevant tab, then click a claim to open it. Edit the available fields as required. Click Save.
An expense claim is a formal request made by an individual, typically an employee or a business traveler, to seek reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses incurred during the course of their work-related activities.
Create a reimbursement pay item for expenses In the Payroll menu, select Payroll settings. Select the Pay Items tab, then click Reimbursements. Click Add, then select the GST setting you want. Name the pay item and complete the other details as needed. Click Account, then select the suspense account you created earlier.
In the Business menu, select Expense claims. Click Go to classic expense claims. In the Current Claim tab, select each receipt you want to submit in this claim. Click Submit for Approval, then select OK to confirm.
Record a refund In the Business menu, select Invoices or Bills to Pay. Select the Awaiting Payment tab. Open the credit transaction to refund. In the cash refund section, complete the payment fields. Click Add Refund.
Supported by receipts and documentation To substantiate the expense claim, original and itemized receipts or invoices must be provided. These documents should contain relevant details like the date, description of the expense, vendor information, and the amount paid.
