okay this is another really brief remake of a video that i had made in 2007 uh here in 2014 to try to make a point iamp;#39;m using an old windows virtual machine to talk about a problem that iamp;#39;ve perceived that happens in a lot of applications it has to do with undo and redo and the idea of how you bracket your transactions as to correspond to a single user intention or not a single user event should create one item in the undo queue and there are so many examples of where this doesnamp;#39;t happen that there must be something wrong architecturally about the way people write programs and i can kind of tell you about what that wrong thing is and how to fix it letamp;#39;s just look at a simple example here we are in looking at vlc the video lan player letamp;#39;s say that i think oh vlc is really awesome so i choose the rename on on the little traffic cone and i say iamp;#39;m going to call vlc awesome but whoa wait a minute what just happened well apparently i hadnamp;
