as you create your documents it is inevitable that you will run into times when you need to undo something you previously did lets take a look at how you can undo actions and if necessary redo them [Music] [Applause] [Music] when you take an action in word you can undo that action there are two ways that you can do this a lot of people use the undo button visible at the top of the program window when im working with word though i think the easiest way to undo an action is to press ctrl z on the keyboard for instance lets say that you think that you should add some text right in here if right after typing it you think better of your edition you can press ctrl z and word undoes what you just did all you have to do is hold down the control key and at the same time press the z key and it undoes your action the great thing is that this can work for other actions besides typing as well lets say that you want to make these words bold but then you want to undo that formatting i want to und

SQL Server database recovery consists of three phases: the analysis phase, the redo phase, and finally the undo phase.
Oracle redo log files contain every change made to user data and to the data dictionary in a database. Therefore, redo log files are the only source that contains all the necessary information to perform recovery operations. Because redo log data is often kept in archived files, the data is already available.
The Redo phase restores the database to the exact state at the crash, including all the changes of uncommitted transactions that were running at that point in time. The Undo phase then undoes all uncommitted changes, leaving the database in a consistent state.
The redo queue represents the amount of log records that need to be written to the secondary database (redone) for the synchronous-commit primary and secondary replicas to be synchronized. Log records from the redo queue are written to the secondary database, completing the process.
Redo phase SQL Server performs forward scan of the transaction log from the oldest uncommitted transaction until the end, to bring the database to the state it was at the time of the crash by redoing all committed operations.
Redo log files are operating system files used by Oracle to maintain logs of all transactions performed against the database. The primary purpose of these log files is to allow Oracle to recover changes made to the database in the case of a failure.
The redo log is a disk-based data structure used during crash recovery to correct data written by incomplete transactions. During normal operations, the redo log encodes requests to change table data that result from SQL statements or low-level API calls.

Generate REDO SQL: Define a filter to select the correct batch job. Specify the start and end points for the log scan. Specify the recovery point. Specify attributes for the Backout Integrity report and the SQL output file. Save all selections in a work ID. Generate and execute the JCL.
An active transaction table is built of the uncommitted transactions at the time of the SQL Server stopped also. Phase 2: Redo. This phase returns the database to the state at the time the SQL service stopped. Starting point for this forward passbeing the oldest uncommitted transaction.
