What is certification renewal? How do I renew my certification? docHub certifications expire after two years. You can renew your certification by taking and passing the latest version of the applicable docHub certification exam.
A Professional Educator Certificate is the third certification level in Connecticut. To earn this five-year license, you must have 30 months of applicable teaching experience while working under a Provisional Educator Certificate in a public school or an approved nonpublic school.
An educator is eligible to renew an expired Professional certificate up to ten school years past the expiration date. Although the educator may renew the expired certificate at any time within this ten-year period, the renewal credits must have been earned within the five-year period prior to the request for renewal.
Teaching Certification Renewal When you receive your Initial Certificate, it is valid for three years. You must complete the teacher induction program (TEAM) and serve as a full-time Connecticut teacher for 10 months under your Initial Certificate before you may apply for your Provisional Certificate.
Applications for initial certificate renewal can be completed online using the Connecticut Educator Certification System (C.E.C.S.) or with a paper-based ED 183 application. If you complete your renewal application online, you can submit your payment by credit card.
