hey guys Mike Taylor AKA Battleship Cobra here have you ever done a crystal report and you are trying to do a number format and you maybe were using a document number and you wanted to left align it or you know you had some some number you wanted to left a line and you see here that thereamp;#39;s a big gap well the trick to this especially with document numbers when youamp;#39;re doing the formatting is go to format field set it to this where you can see thereamp;#39;s we donamp;#39;t want for the document number any comma separators custom negatives just turn negatives to none and then it will line up perfectly on the left side there so itamp;#39;s a simple little trick something I use specifically for document numbers for formatting hopefully that helps you this is Mike Taylor AKA Battleship Cobra if you want a cool sticker totally for free go to battleshipcobra.com and sign up for my newsletter Iamp;#39;ll see you later

How to edit . RPT files and create new ones. Press the Windows and S keys together. Type Notepad and press Enter. Paste any text into the white area.
Answer: Right-click on the Subreport and select Format Subreport. Go to the Subreport tab. Click the X+2 button across from on-demand subreport caption In the Formula Editor window, enter the text that you want to display or select a field/formula from the Report Fields list. Click Save and Close. Click OK.
Once you drag the parameter to your report To edit parameter Field, right click on parameter name and go to edit parameter. Once you click on edit parameter, it will open Edit parameter window. You can also edit the parameter by double clicking on the parameter name.
How to change the name of a Crystal Report Go to File, Summary Info. On the Summary tab, type in the new name of the report in the Title: section. Click on OK. Save the report.
Right-click on the subreport and select Edit Subreport Locate the field you will link the main report to and insert it somewhere in the report (it can be deleted after linking) Click on the Design tab to go back to the main report. Right-click on the subreport and select Change Subreport Links
Click Reports. Select the report to be edited and then click Properties . If it is necessary to add or remove fields from the report, select the Fields tab: Note: See 2. Click OK to close the Report Properties box and return to the Reports box. In the Reports box, make sure the report is highlighted and click Report All.
In the Current Data Source section scroll down to find Subreports. If Subreports exist then select the line containing the file path and name of the MDB file. Click the Update button. Click Close.
