A new update to Google Authenticator now allows you to save a backup of all your codes to your Google account. That way, if your phone is lost, stolen or if you migrate to a new device, its much easier to get access to your 2FA codes. To do this, youll need to update the Google Authenticator app - youll know whether youve done this if the icon now looks like this, and then connect to your Google account. When you see a green check in the upper-right corner, you know youve set it up correctly. The question many people are asking, though, is whether or not its a good idea to do this, especially since this data isnt end-to-end encrypted on Google servers. If you have a new phone, open the Google Authenticator app, tap +, and then Scan a QR code. Hold your new phone up to scan the QR code on your old phones screen. If you dont have the new phone yet or want to save the code for later, you can take a screenshot and print it.

Step 1: Proceed to MFA security info site. Step 2: Delete the existing Microsoft Authenticator method. Step 3: Configure the Microsoft Authenticator app. Step 4: Choose the correct default sign-in method. Step 5: Test the app.
After you log in to your admin account, go to , select Security and then look for Authenticator, you should be able to remove or add new authenticator there.
