Add a new account to the Microsoft authenticator app Go to the Security info page using the steps above. Select Add sign-in method. Select Choose a method and then Authenticator app. Follow the on-screen instructions, including using your mobile device to scan the QR code, and then select Next. Select Save.
Remove or change an MFA factor from the Dashboard In the top right corner of the Dashboard, click your user name and click Your profile. Find the new authentication factor you want to use and click + ADD in that row. Still in Your profile, find the authentication factor you want to stop using and click REMOVE.

Apart from the Global administrator, the Privileged Authentication Administrator role have access to perform the reset MFA on all users account and Authentication Administrator role have access to perform the reset MFA on some users account.
How to Reset MFA in Office 365 Access the Users Section: Navigate to the Users section. Locate the User: Find the user account for which you want to reset MFA. Disable MFA: Disable Multi-Factor Authentication for the user. Reset MFA Settings: After disabling MFA for the user, you can then reset their MFA settings.
Basically, to reset your Authenticator app, you need to follow these steps with the admin credentials: Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center and sign in with your admin credentials. Click on Users Active users. Select your user account and click on Reset multi-factor authentication under More settings.
