First, open Microsoft Excel on your computer. Access your workbook and navigate to File More Options. Now, go to the Advanced tab. Lastly, look for Editing Options and ensure that the Enable Fill Handle and Cell Drag-and-Drop option is marked checked.
To redo an action using a keyboard shortcut, press Ctrl+Y on Windows or Command+Y on Mac. Alternatively, on Windows, you can press the F4 key to redo an action.
To use the arrow keys to move between cells, you must turn SCROLL LOCK off. To do that, press the Scroll Lock key (labeled as ScrLk) on your keyboard. If your keyboard doesnt include this key, you can turn off SCROLL LOCK by using the On-Screen Keyboard.
To reverse your last Undo, press CTRL+Y. You can reverse more than one action that has been undone. You can use Redo command only after Undo command.
Undo Changes using the Keyboard Shortcut It means we dont need to set any shortcut key for undoing action in excel. To undo the changes in Excel, we need to press and hold the Ctrl key and then press the Z key on the keyboard, i.e., Ctrl + Z.
Answer / Solution: Its very possible that you need to click the SCROLL LOCK button on your keyboard. On my keyboard, its on the upper-right hand corner, near the INS, DEL, HOME and END buttons, and its labelled SCROLL LOCK. Click that button once, and you should move out of scroll lock mode.
So basically, Undo helps you reverse your last action and restore things to how they were before you made the change. Redo, on the other hand, does the opposite. If you change your mind after performing the Undo function, Redo is the command to use. It restores what you just undid and repeats your last action.
1. Turn Off Scroll Lock. You wont be able to use the arrow keys if you have a scroll lock enabled on your keyboard. So, the first fix for arrow keys not working in Excel is to turn off your scroll lock.
To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z. To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y.
