The Redo function restores any actions that have been previously undone using an undo command. Some people may refer to this feature as a reverse undo. For example, if you typed a word, and then deleted it using an undo, the Redo function would restore the word that you deleted. To reverse your last undo, press CTRL+Y.
To redo something youve undone, press Ctrl+Y or F4. (If F4 doesnt seem to work, you may need to press the F-Lock key or Fn Key, then F4) on your keyboard, or select Redo on the Quick Access toolbar. (The Redo button only appears after youve undone an action.)
To redo the most recent action that you undid, press CTRL+Y. To redo several actions, do one of the following: Press CTRL+Y repeatedly until the actions are redone.
Undo the last action: Choose Edit Undo (from the Edit menu at the top of your screen), or press Command-Z on your keyboard. Redo the last action you undid: Choose Edit Redo, or press Command-Shift-Z.
Ctrl Z is the keyboard shortcut for undo, which allows you to reverse the last action you performed. Ctrl Y, on the other hand, is the keyboard shortcut for redo, which allows you to reapply the last action you performed after using Ctrl Z to undo it.
