Another way to calculate the age in years in Google Sheets is by using the YEARFRAC function. The YEARFRAC function will give you the number of years (including fractional years), between two given dates.
=int(YEARFRAC(A1,today())) Youll add the birth date to cell A1 and paste the formula into B1 for the result. Well use the birth date 11/04/1983: The result is 35 years of age. Simple, just like when using the DATEDIF function for a single cell.
Simply by subtracting the birth date from the current date. This conventional age formula can also be used in Excel. The first part of the formula (TODAY()-B2) returns the difference between the current date and date of birth is days, and then you divide that number by 365 to get the numbers of years.
=int(YEARFRAC(A1,today())) Youll add the birth date to cell A1 and paste the formula into B1 for the result. Well use the birth date 11/04/1983: The result is 35 years of age. Simple, just like when using the DATEDIF function for a single cell.
How to get age from birthday in years, months and days To get the number of years: =DATEDIF(B2, TODAY(), Y) To get the number of months: =DATEDIF(B2, TODAY(), YM) To get the number of days: =DATEDIF(B2,TODAY(),MD)
