Edit a name In the Name Manager dialog box, double-click the name you want to edit, or, click the name that you want to change, and then click Edit. In the Edit Name dialog box, in the Name box, type the new name for the reference. In the Refers to box, change the reference, and then click OK.
Fixing is done by inserting the dollar sign ($) in front of the row or column name for which we want to keep the same value when copying. For example, if we want a formula to always multiply the cell A1 content with another cell, the cell address A1 will be changed to $A$1.
Select the cells with the formulas in which you wish to change cell references to names. To replace the references with defined names in all formulas on the active sheet, select any single blank cell. Go to the Formulas tab Defined Names group, click the arrow next to Define Name, and then click Apply Names
Move or Replace References Consider an Excel sheet where you have reference cells similar to the below image. First, use Ctrl + H to open Find and Replace. Then enter Find What and Replace What, then click on Options and select Formulas for Look In. Then click on replace all to complete the task.

If you want to maintain the original cell reference when you copy it, you lock it by putting a dollar sign ($) before the cell and column references. For example, when you copy the formula =$A$2+$B$2 from C2 to D2, the formula stays exactly the same. This is an absolute reference.
Replace text or numbers with the Find Replace Press Ctrl+H or go to Home Find Select Replace. In Find what, type the text or numbers you want to find. You can further define your search: In the Replace with box, enter the text or numbers you want to use to replace the search text. Select Replace or Replace All.
