hey just letting you know Im taking PTO the first week of March let me double check the schedule and make sure you can be off those dates you dont need to check the schedule Ill be off Im confused I thought you were requesting PTO no I wasnt requesting PTO Im telling you months in advance that I will not be at work that week well that needs to be approved first I think Nancys off that week so your PTO request is denied I guess Im not explaining myself well I dont need approval Im notifying you with ample time that I aint gonna be here thats a fact thats a statement thats a cue for you to prepare the others Im sorry but I have to deny your PTO request were gonna be understaffed that sounds like a you problem because I will be on vacation just hire somebody from Craigslist delegate my work shut the building down just dont plan on me being here I just cant let you have that whole week off let me at least get some days off that week then what days do you need Monday thro

The only valid reasons for canceling vacation time are for staffing emergencies that were unavoidable, or to meet a deadline or quota.
You can cancel any time off request you have submitted that has not already been canceled or denied. From the Time Attendance menu, select My Attendance. Click the request number (in the left-most column) of the request you want to cancel. Click the Cancel Request button. In the confirmation window, click OK.
What Is a Retract? To retract means to withdraw a bid, offer, or statement before any relevant party acts on the information provided. For example, its common practice in real estate transactions to provide a deposit showing the buyers intention to complete the transaction.
1) From your Workday homepage, click on the Time Off and Leave worklet. 2) Click on the button labelled Correct My Time Off. 3) Navigate to the existing time off request that you want to delete or correct. Click on the request.
If changes (dates, times, leave types) need to be made, the time off request must be cancelled. Employees can cancel their own time off requests; supervisors should only cancel the request if the employee is unable to complete the cancellation.
When declining a request, its best to do it in person if possible. Explain to the employee why the business cannot accommodate the request based on the business grounds you identified. Then mutually discuss when might be an alternative time to take the leave.
Retract is used to withdraw leave requests that have not yet been approved by the supervisor. Retracting a leave request will cause it to be canceled.
