How do I redact a signed PDF? First, open the document you wish to redact. Selecting this option will reveal the redaction menu at the top of your document. Now you simply need to select the text that you want to redact. Click Apply to redact.
Go to Edit - Preferences - Signatures and click on More next to Verification, and then tick off the Verify signatures when the document is opened box.
In most cases, signatures constitute personal data as they can identify the person signing and should be redacted as a matter of course prior to release of publication.
Now, right-click on the signature and select the Validate Signature option from the drop-down list. Step 4. After the validation of the signature, right-click on the signature again, and now you will come up with an option to Clear Signature. Tap on Clear Signature to remove the signature from the PDF file.
To remove your signature, right-click the signature and then choose Clear Signature.
It is possible, to require that documents are automatically deleted from the cloud after completion of the envelope. The signing certificate remains but can be redacted of all personal data. This will not affect the copies received by email.
