Numbers that appear to be valid credit card numbers are redacted by replacing some digits with a replacement character, leaving the first 6 digits and the last 4 digits intact.
If youre using the Zendesk Agent Workspace, admins and agents in custom roles with permission can permanently redact, or remove, sensitive information found in ticket comments and attachments so that your account stays secure and compliant. This helps keep confidential information out of Zendesk.
To redact both in-line and normal attachments from tickets, click Redact attachments from the app. A modal will open displaying the list of attachments on the ticket. Select which attachment you wish to redact and click Redact.
Beside the comment you want to delete, click the Comment actions icon ( ), then select Delete. The comment is removed from the post and cannot be recovered.
To edit a ticket field In Admin Center, click Objects and rules in the sidebar, then select Tickets Fields. Hover over the row of the field you want to edit, then click the option menu icon ( ) and select Edit. Update the options as needed.
From a ticket, click the menu to the left of the Submit button, then select Next ticket in view. You do not have to select this option each time you submit a ticket. Once selected, the next ticket in the view will always open when you submit a ticket update.
Click the options menu icon ( ) and choose Redact. A redaction pane appears. Select the content you want to redact, then click Mark for redaction.
