In this tutorial, Chip Wood demonstrates how to redact or highlight a PDF using the Preview app. Start by opening your PDF in Preview, either by Ctrl-clicking or double-clicking if it's the default viewer. Access the markup toolbar to find font options, fill color, borders, and line thickness. To create a highlight, use the shapes icon to select a square, adjust its border and thickness, and position it over the text. Double-click the square to change its fill color (black for redaction or white for a less obvious effect). Additionally, images can be redacted by simply clicking and dragging.
