hello today were going to be looking at reduction within PDF Docs and the different ways that you can do that so there is a protect ribbon with in PDF Docs and there are a number of different options here and well just have a look at the way that we can go about the different types of redaction so first off we can use the mark area tool this is great for redaction if we know the area that we want to adapt so we can just draw over it and select an area so that starts the reduction process so if I hover over it there we can see what it looks like once itll be redacted and then when I move the cursor away I can also see what text is under there I can also resize this if I needed to using the little points there so to do what action is two-stage process so weve started it there by selecting the area the next is to apply that reduction and permanently remove the text layer to do this we get a warning just saying Im sure because this cannot be undone so its always worthwhile saving as

How to redact a PDF online: To start, drop your PDF file or upload it from your device or your cloud storage service. To add redaction marks, click the Add redaction marks button and draw an area on your document with the mouse.
Follow these steps to redact a PDF file: Open the document. On the top toolbar, select Edit PDF. Tap and hold Redact . Pick the Blackout or Erase option. Select the text to redact it. Please note: There is no possibility to restore the redacted text after saving the file.
Then, go into Edit Mode and follow these steps to select text or images and redact them. Select Tools Redact. Use the crosshair to draw rectangles over the text or images you want to permanently remove from the PDF. Optional: If you dont want a black box, select your preferred redaction marks. Click Apply.
How to Black out Text on iPhone? Open the image from the Photo Gallery. Tap on the Edit button in the top right corner. Then tap on the Markup button. Use your finger to draw a black rectangle over the text or image that you want to blackout. Tap on the Done button.
How to redact a PDF on a Mac using Preview. Open your PDF in Preview. Click the Markup icon on the top right. Click the Redact button on the top left. It looks like a filled in square. Read the reminder in the dialog box, save a copy of your PDF, and click OK. Select your text to have it automatically redacted.

How to black out text in a PDF file. Open your PDF in docHubs Acrobat online services. Select Tools, then Redact. Select text. Either double-click to select the text or drag to select lines of text. Apply redaction. Once youve selected the text you want to remove, click Save to apply the changes and save the document.
You can do so by tapping on the pencil tool from the markup toolbar and then sliding the thickness slider all the way up to the right side. Doing so will properly hide the sensitive text on a screenshot, allowing you to redact text right on iPhone.
