One way to insert different footers in Word is to create sections using Section Breaks. To insert a Section Break between one page and another, click on the Page Layout section in the ribbon. It looks like this (in Word 2007): Click on the Breaks drop-down arrow.
On the status bar, click the Page Layout View button. Select the header or footer text you want to change. On the Home tab in the Font group, set the formatting options that you want to apply to the header / footer. When youre done, click the Normal view button on the status bar.
To change the position of your headers and footers, first click on the Page Layout tab. Then, click on the Header Footer button. This will bring up the Header Footer toolbar. From here, you can choose whether you want your header or footer to be positioned at the top or bottom of the page.
